Big Sleazy presents THE MOTEAUX SHOW: We rocked it out with “Going Psycho” with some way wicked biker footage to thrill ya
First and foremost, we LOVE motorcycles! The two of us have been called to them from a very young age. We love riding, wrenching, building, racing, watching, talking about, learning about, and celebrating motorcycles. In 2014, we decided to start sharing our love by throwing our first motorcycle show, The Moteaux Show. But, we wanted our love to supersede what we’ve all become accustomed to in a motorcycle rally. With our motorcycle events, you’ll experience no more admission costs, no more motorcycle competition entry fees, and truly open admission to all motorcycles. Accompanied by fierce give-aways, hand-built trophies, live music, art, local food carts, raffles, and beer, The Moteaux Show keeps getting better. Our focus is on the motorcycle community as a whole and giving back to that community but, let’s face it, this is NOLA!!! We know how to party better than anyone!
Motorcycles are an extension of who we are as individuals. They express our culture, our style, our joy of riding, and our friendships with those we ride with. As motorcycle enthusiasts and New Orleanians, we’ve watched plenty of parades with wonder about when and how we could strut our stuff on two wheels in a parade. Now is our time to ride in that number!
The Krewe of Moteaux brings New Orleans first all motorcycle Mardi Gras Parade. A truly historic and unique riding experience. With a length of over 15 miles fully escorted through Orleans Parish and the slowest speed of 15mph all clutches will be saved. The Krewe of Moteaux Mardi Gras parade welcomes and encourages all motorcycles, motorcycle clubs, and riding groups to join in the celebration.
The parade is on Sunday January 28th, 2018. Rain or shine, kickstands up at sunset 5:33pm. The parade route starts on the West Bank at Mardi World Westbank and ends at NOLA Brewery with the Krewe of Moteaux’s Ball. The parade is fully police escorted. All motorcycles, scooters, trikes, electric, side cars, etc are welcome to ride as long as they are plated and insured, and can maintain up to 40mph as we will be crossing the Crescent City Connection and traveling on I-10. Krewe of Moteaux membership is required for parade riding participation. Throws are the responsibility of the rider. For obvious safety reasons no beads for throws. Registration will be set up at 4pm to check in and get your ride and ball tickets. With this being our inaugural parade, we will have ride tickets available for purchase at registration.
At the end of the parade, the Ball begins at NOLA Brewery, at approximately 7 pm. Your Krewe membership also gets you one ball ticket. You don’t have to be a Krewe member or a parade participant to attend the ball, but you will need a ticket. Tickets are available at registration and at NOLA Brewery about 7 pm, January 28th. Or you can pick them up from Kurt personally. Email him at Kurt@bigsleazyinc.com. Ball tickets are free for members and $18 for non-members. Part of the proceeds going to MotoFAM. Motorcycles are able to park in the parking lot in front of the brewery. If you need to leave your motorcycle overnight, no problem. It will be secure and available to pick up Monday at 10 am.
