ABOUT THE BAND
Mem Shannon & The Membership are from New Orleans and while their music is rooted in the blues, it’s soaked through with that Big Easy syncopated sound, oozing with funk.

A former 15-year Bourbon Street cab driver, Mem emerged onto the scene in 1996 with his first release, “A Cab Driver’s Blues” on Hannibal/Rykodisc. The breakthrough buzz album led to national media coverage from folks like ABC World News, CBS Sunday Morning, CNN, E! Entertainment Television, The New York Times, NPR.

He has released 6 albums worldwide (2 on Rykodisc, 2 on Shanachie,2 on Northern Blues) and has won or been nominated for a ton of “Best Of” awards for Louisiana music and national blues – including several Blues Music Association(formerly W.C. Handy Award) nominations.

EVEN WHEN I WATCHED MOVIES AS A KID, THERE WERE ALWAYS SCENES I WOULD HAVE SHOT DIFFERENTLY. THE CAMERA SPOKE TO ME AND FILLED MY HEAD WITH FILMS THAT I WOULD SOME DAY MAKE. I am Edward Holub, an award-winning director, producer, and cinematographer based out of New Orleans, who has decades of real-world field experience which brings to my leadership role at New Orleans Video Productions. I have spanned the globe in his quest for the perfect shot and have handled a wide array of assignments for clients ranging from corporate powerhouses to nonprofits aiming to save the world. I've also shopped documentary and feature films to markets and festivals around the world. With an eye for beauty and a willingness to experiment, I bring a different approach to everyday filmmaking than many clients expect ,and I deliver finished products that far exceed expectations – no matter the issues or requirements during filming.
